"I have so many alts, that I name them all 'Keli' so you can tell which ones are me."

In the distant world of Azeroth, there is a special clan of heroes. These heroes hail from all corners of the world. They support both Horde and Alliance and make up a multitude of races and classes. Some members of this unique clan are friends, companions, even sisters. Others have never met. But they all have one thing in common. They are all members of the Clan of Keli.

Time to share pictures! I don't have a whole lot because I'm still getting used to having a snazzy button to click and get cool screenshots. But I'll have more soon, I promise! So, in no particular order....
From Ice Crown to Uldum... the Clan of Keli continues onward!Collapse )

Dec. 14th, 2010 @ 12:16 pm [Tiella] Then and now!

I have a lot of screenies to post, but for now, I just wanted to share this little fun comparison. I found a screenshot of Tiella back when she was a small little thing and took a corresponding screenshot of her on Sunday after her first Cata heroic. What I find so interesting is not just her gear, but the textures. Especially on the clothing. WoW really has gotten so much more awesome, graphically speaking. So, yeah. Enjoy!

Dec. 13th, 2010 @ 04:22 pm [OOC]...conversations you only have if you are as crazy as I am.

orion011 : The trinket I got is a corrupted egg shell. From Alexstrazsa. Wanna know what it does?
souldreamer  (me): What does it do?
orion011 : 2 minute cooldown. Use: Places Egg Shell on your current target, absorbing 4060 damage. While Egg Shell persists, you will gain 420 mana every 5 sec. When the effect is cancelled, you will gain 5040 mana. Lasts 30 seconds.
souldreamer : Oh, that's right. We were looking at that last night. That's very cool.
orion011 : I call it "Summon Disc Priest"
souldreamer : :-D Pocket Priest?
orion011 : YES
souldreamer : "Hold on, guys, let me pull out my PP." "Professor Putricide?" "GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!"
souldreamer : ...sorry. I'm a little loopy. ^^;

Dec. 10th, 2010 @ 11:02 am [Tiella] "...more bugs than a Nerubian fast food joint!"
Credit goes to orion011  for the quote, but it's accurate! Here are my thoughts on the expansion so far.

1. The human leveling experience is awesome! Ysanna went from 1 to 58 in less than a week. The leveling pace was perfect and the progression through the zones was smoother than silk. However, Ysanna is still sitting at 58 for this reason.

2. I've been listening to the soundtrack that came with my CE and it's very nice! My only real reaction is this: Castaways (soundtrack for the goblin starting zones) sounds like a marriage between Disney's Tarzan and Donald Duck. ^^;

3. Vashj'ir was pretty insane at the beginning. It has since mellowed out and I am usually competing with only a couple players for any given quest. It's beautiful. And gorgeous. And beautiful.

And it's bugged beyond belief. I swear, every time they hotfix something, they break 2 other things. I had to drop Setting an Example and will never be able to pick it up again because it can only be done during the Battlemaiden visions and it would not let me go back into the vision after it punted me out of it. >.< I'm not happy. Especially because I didn't realize it was a Battlemaiden quest (it didn’t say so explicitly) and I spent a good 30-45 minutes later trying to find the mobs that weren't there because they only appeared during the vision. NOT HAPPY. Meanwhile, Full Circle is also bugged and will not give credit. About the time I figured that out, I decided I was done with Vashj'ir. I had hit 82, so I headed to Deepholme.

4. My first thought about Deepholme was one word: "Netherstorm". ^.^ And it was going fine, too, until I got to Without a Captain or Crew and spent 20 minutes looking for those items while my guildies were like "It's right under your nose, I found it in approximately 0.4 seconds!!" Then I went to wowhead and discovered that THAT quest has bugged too and the items are no longer spawning. *sigh*

Honestly, I was planning on being totally patient with bugs. I realize this is new shit and there will be bugs. I'm not one of those people who are all "ZOMG BLIZ YOU FAIL" But... I'm disappointed. Especially when one of those bugs have kept me from EVER being able to complete the quest. I feel a little gypped.

5. My worgen rogue is level 7. I like her jump! And I want to know when my rogue trainer is going to pay me back the money she owes me! Also, it amuses me that one of the worgen racial abilities is that they don't need a skinning knife to skin. XD

That's about it for first impressions. I'm sure there'll be more soon!

Tags: ,

My dreams have come true. The world has been destroyed. The Azeroth that we know it has ceased to be. Deathwing the Destroyer has broken free. And he's pissed. The first days after the shattering were crazy. Searching for survivors, spending hours wandering Stormwind (which I swear had EVERYTHING to do with the gaping whole where the park once stood and NOTHING to do with the fact that there is a beautiful LAKE behind the cathedral, complete with GAZEBOS where we can host weddings!!!). Dusting ourselves off and taking stocking of the damage. To be honest, I don't remember much of those first few days. It was a complete whirlwind.

But I remember the moment that I got a message from a contact of mine. A message that he had returned. Welcome Home.Collapse )

Nov. 23rd, 2010 @ 02:15 pm Frost Mages: The Best Kept Secret in WoW!
Tags: , ,

My name is Tiella, and I am proud to be a frost mage.

Now, I am not a Kingslayer. I don't have a ton of achievements, mounts, pets or titles. I'm not a Loremaster, and I don't even have epic flight. In fact, I only just reached level 80 on Saturday, and it took me until last night to finally get rid of that silly heirloom staff (it had started to get smelly after being used for 80 levels).

I'm not a great Azerothian hero. That's my sister's job. I am what you would call an "alt". But I am an alt with dreams. With goals. And someday, I will stand before Deathwing the Destroyer, and I will show him the true meaning of the phrase: "revenge is a dish best served cold."

Nov. 23rd, 2010 @ 07:55 am I'm Not Ready.

First, let me say it: I was not ready for the shattering. I kept my thoughts to myself but as my guild was settling down for the night, placing all their characters in the proper spots, and as I reset all my characters' hearths, something inside me was wailing: I am not ready.

I never finished my video "Every Man."
I never got to experience those classic quests one more time.
I never...
I never...
I thought I'd be ready. But I'm not.

I read Matticus' post today and I confess - I nearly cried. So... here are mine, only in a slightly different format...

I'll never again...

...help Tirion Fordring save his son from the Scarlet Crusade.
...rescue Sharpbeak from the trolls in the Hinterlands.
...run through Zul'Gurub while Neemyst tries to get me killed by pulling every spider in the entire zone.
...or do so many other things that I won't even realize are gone until it's too late.

I watched the first minute of Wowcrender's Farewell to Northrend. I couldn't watch more than that. I cried. Good or bad, Northrend has been my home.

So, instead of depressing my readers any further, let me simply offer a word of warning, by way of a story.

I have played WoW since vanilla, but I never saw an expansion drop. I always took a hiatus during the time between expansions, then came back several months after the new expansion was released. When I logged back in the first time after Wrath had come out (about 6 months after its release), the first thing I did was try to get to Darnasus. I flew to Menethil harbor, went out to the dock and...

...and the strangest looking ship that I had ever seen pulled up.

I asked the dockmaster standing by where this ship went and was told that it took me to Howling Fjord.

WTF?! What the hell is Howling Fjord? And where the hell is my boat to Auberdine?!

I asked some people on the general chat channels how to get to Darnasus and was told that I had to go through Stormwind.

How the hell do I get to Auberdine through Stormwind?! There are no boats in Stormwind!!

...and they looked at me like I was a raving lunatic.

Note: For those of you who are even now looking at me like I'm a raving lunatic, I assure you - before Wrath, THERE WAS NO STORMWIND HARBOR. I swear! >.>

So, the moral of this story is that the big changes? A lush Desolace, a split Barrens, a destroyed Auberdine... we're ready for those. We're braced for those.

The changes that will pull our feet out from under us and knock the wind from our chest will be the small ones. The ones we never expected, and that we never knew we depended on. So, brace yourselves. Because I assure you - You are NOT prepared.

Nov. 8th, 2010 @ 09:22 am A Comedy of Errors - ICC Edition
Saturday Night. Time for Syndicate's ICC alt-run. I had already decided to bring my priest, except as dps instead of heals. I wanted to see how she would do in a group that wouldn't be all "ZOMG L2P FUCKING NOOB!" But as we began to plan, I realized that most of my guildies who normally healed or tanked had dps alts to bring. To be fair, I really needed to heal, so they could dps.

...or I could tank.Collapse )

In the end, we were tired and that fight needed more work than we could give it, given everyone's new alt roles, so we called it. All-in-all, it was a good run for most of us. Me? I sucked. But, as my mother tells me often, there comes a point where you just have to laugh.
